Now we go directly from darkness to too much light! At certain times of day and at certain times of the year, you may find yourself driving directly into or away from a very bright sun. Use your sun visor when driving towards bright glare. In some cases, you may need to shield your eyes with your hand. Now, you have only one hand on your steering wheel. Having a good pair of sunglasses in your vehicle is a good idea. That may enable you to keep both hands on the wheel when driving into solar glare. When driving directly away from glare, the bright light may reflect from your rear view mirror directly into your eyes. Adjust the mirror to block out the glare until you change direction.
When the bright sun is directly behind you, it means oncoming drivers are driving directly into the glare. Watch for drivers who appear to be struggling to see. Be extra cautious as you approach and pass them. Assume they are driving blindly.
AND REMEMBER, A CLEAN, STREAK FREE WINDSHIELD IS
A GREAT WAY TO FIGHT OFF SOLAR GLARE.
